The Palace Players present Good Night Mrs Puffin - A wonderful, gentle comedy for a great night's entertainment by Arthur Lovegrove.
The Fordyce family is busily preparing for the wedding of their eldest daughter Jacky to Victor, son of Stephen Parker, with whom Henry Fordyce is planning a business merger. Then in walks a total stranger, the enigmatic Mrs Puffin, who announces she saw in a dream that Jacky would not marry Victor. She establishes the accuracy of her vision by correctly predicting various domestic incidents. She goes on to make further predications of a romantic nature for the younger family members. So, will the wedding go ahead? Can dreams foretell the future? Who is the foreseen stranger from across the water? The unlikely cockney oracle seems to be amazingly accurate with her prophesies.
The performances will take place on Saturday, 30th July, curtain up at 7.30pm and Sunday, 31st July, curtain up at 2pm, at The Palace, High Street, Ibstock LE67 6LH.
