The Palace presents - Cor Meibion Tonmawr (formerly Pelenna Male Voice Choir)
This is an event not to be missed - the wonderful Cor Meibion Tonmawr Welsh Male Voice Choir!
Founded in 1980, the choir's roots are in the mining heritage of the area. During the last part of the 19th Century and a large part of the 20th Century the area was dominated by the mining of coal and iron, but by the early 1960s mining had ceased in the valley. The pits are all closed now.
The Pelenna valley is now tranquil and scenic and a magnet for mountain bikers and hikers.
The choir have an enviable reputation, are much in demand and have had a long involvement with Katherine Jenkins who is an honorary patron of the choir.
Recently they have sang at two major celebrity events, one a celebration concert for the Hollywood star and choir patron Michael Sheen. They have also performed at the 70th birthday party of Sir Anthony Hopkins at Margam Orangery.
Tickets £15 - available from the Palace Box Office and web-site.
Doors and bar open at 5pm, concert starts at 6pm.
Large FREE car park opposite venue.
